Next steps

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Actively licensed agents, please go to Step 1.

  • Inactive agents who are reinstating a real estate license, please go to step 2.

  • All other agents, please go to step 3.

Step 1

Please submit your resignation to your current broker of record (an email will typically suffice). For your convenience, you may use this resignation template.

Step 2

Please ensure your “Qualifying Questionnaire” has been completed online. See here for more information about completing your Qualifying Questionnaire.

Step 3

Save the above independent contractor agreement and the referral agent restrictions for your records. The official invoice receipt was sent to the email address you entered when signing up. Also, be on the lookout for an email so we can have a proper introduction!

N.B. All agents must complete the “Qualifying Questionnaire” before license renewal! If you don’t know your pin, click “I forgot” and the state will immediately email you a new one. See here for more information.

Newly licensed in New Jersey? We’ll also need you to scan & email us the following documents before we can submit your application to the state:

  • Exam Result form

  • U.S. Passport or Birth Certificate or an INS Form

  • State issued photo ID (only required if not sending a passport)

Still need to get fingerprinted? Follow these instructions on the state website.

Step 4

That’s it, you’re done! You can verify that your license transfer has been completed by looking yourself up in the state database (New Jersey). This may take up to three business days to appear.

We’re thrilled to have you onboard, thanks again for joining General Referral!
